In this charming two room cabin, located in a scenic area of the Klamath River in Northern California, escape to the beauty of the mountains and the sound of the Klamath River as you leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind. Step back in time as you enter this area rich in history, where a hundred years ago the lure of gold created a rush to strike it rich! There is plenty of outdoor recreation; rafting, fishing, hunting, mining and more.

 

It's wild here and yet it's not far from major cities and shopping. If you go west downriver, you will find a store, restaurant and post office in the small town of Seiad. Continuing downriver, in about 45 minutes from the cabin you will come to Happy Camp, another very old gold mining town which has a pizza parlor, two restaurants, small engine repair as well as several historic attractions. About five miles upriver you will find Quigley's store and deli. They even serve breakfast three days a week! It's wild here and yet it's not far from major cities and shopping. About 30 minutes away is Yreka, a small city that sports many nice features such as sit down and fast food restaurants, several full line grocery stores, a Wal-Mart, JCPenny and even a movie theater.
